Imperfections: Have to stress the point again, because we are so much obsessed with the cover girls that we forget being organic is being sexy. Almost every guy agrees too much makeup is a turn-off. They want to see some natural beauty in you. The mole is absolutely okay, so is the buck teeth. They tend to associate you with your marks and scars, and it makes you uniquely attractive to them and distinguish you from rest of the crowd.
I am a 32-yr-old female, and I have to admit that the majority of this article is dead on. I am a mixed bag, honestly. I am a bit tomboyish (I LOVE watching football!), yet if the right man roots deep enough I am actually extremely submissive. I am short (5 ft tall), curvy, graceful, and demure and yet I am also strong of mind and very intelligent (I am in my final semester of undergraduate biochemistry studies). I was raised by an uber-dominant female so I remember I emulated her for a while, but then realized that ultra-feminism did not suit me at all. I have been serious with a natural alpha male for a few years now and we have a bruiser of a son. He brings out the feminine and submissive side of me, honestly. I was drawn to his confidence, and even though I was employed as a line cook in a restaurant at the time, he saw through the “tough” facade immediately. It’s like a light clicked on. I may not wear frills or dresses, but my shyness and soft-spoken nature give me away as a feminine creature. I may not wear dresses, but I still dress to attract him even after these years, and I LOVE being close to him and feeling his large presence whenever he gives me a hug or kiss and I feel so safe in his arms.
I love him and can’t let him go but I find it difficult to talk freely and openly to him like before specially after that cheating thing. I do every single tip of the above to keep our relationship and he is complaining that I’ve changed!
Initially, you might not feel confident with the idea of taking up any extra space, but it doesn’t really matter—just act like you do anyway. Eventually your discomfort will disappear. Just keep your chin up, and most people will not suspect your anxiety. In any event, it is natural to feel a bit of shyness in taking up your given space when you first begin practicing this important art of attraction. The good news is, in time you won’t even remember why your once felt any nervousness about owning your space. So begin now. I encourage you to first learn to appreciating any small, but pleasurable detail about your surroundings—the crispness in the air, the smell of herbs in your food, the beauty of a clear sky, whether you are surrounded by a plethora of people or none at all.
Display intelligence and depth. Don’t say “like” and “um” in every sentence. Intelligence is sexy. A smart woman who knows what she wants and how to get it will attract men everywhere she goes. Displaying your intellect reveals that you have depth. This will attract men more effectively than coming across as dim.
Lol. Well, nomad spirit, if a good guy sees that everyone has to climb over you to find a seat or a place to stand, who knows what he may be thinking. That being said, most people have their heads buried in a computer whilst in-transit. You just happen to be the one who sits on the floor. 😉
Whether it’s going out with friends and having a good time or spending time with family and living life in a happy, fun way. Experience life in the moment and don’t dwell on trivial things that don’t matter.
You need to keep this in mind though, love and attraction are two completely different things. A guy may find you extremely attractive, yet he may not end up falling in love with you for his own reasons. [Read: 20 reasons why a guy may never like you back]
Men will not tolerate manipulation of any kind for any significant length of time. To attract a great man and build a wonderful relationship learn to ask without hesitation for what you want and need in every area of your life. Learn to be aware of his timing and his timeline. Learn how to acknowledge and bestow praise.

Have a conversation about the seriousness of the relationship. This all comes down to what you are looking for. You may be looking for a committed long-term relationship or you may just want to have fun. Either way, the guy that you’re with should understand what you want out of the relationship. Have a conversation with them about your expectations and don’t be afraid to hurt their feelings. If you wait and they make assumptions, it may end up hurting their feelings even worse later on.
It’s really been eating at me lately, to the extent that I don’t even want to spend time with my local friend for fear of somehow ‘leading him on’ or hurting him, even though he’s a really close and good friend.
Follow those four simple steps and success is assured. Here’s an actual excerpt from the book—I’m not kidding. If you’re drinking anything, put the cup down *now* or your keyboard will be drenched in a few seconds:
Men want no manipulation of any kind. They do not want to have to read their partner’s mind or try to interpret signals. They do not want to be forced to move faster in a relationship than they are ready. They do not want to be manipulated into taking all the blame for things gone wrong. They do not want to be on the receiving end of game playing. Women think men want little or no communication, and the only way to get needs met is through manipulation. Women think men either need or want to be reminded that the relationship needs to move forward. Women think men don’t want or value praise and acknowledgment, and so tend to only verbalize criticism.
And just a word of advice, you bitching or moaning here won’t change a way a guy thinks. And you commenters can’t change a guy’s view just by claiming guys should like unfeminine girls instead of feminine girl!
All this being said, each one of us have different tastes. Some like short girls, some tall ones. Some like sweet ones, some the patakas. Some like the Dominatrix, some the submissive kind and others a regular girl. And then there are men who are attracted to every single girl…
Here’s a simple foolproof test: if it feels like you have to “fight” for your relationship, or it feels like you’re constantly battling to keep your relationship on track – that’s a strong sing you’re not compatible with each other.
I am white. Before dating me, my man dated many Asian women. He is still friends with a few of them. I always felt a little frustrated by this. If he liked blondes, I could dye my hair. I cannot change my ethnic background!
8. Car Shows. Sure, you’d rather see the new Matisse exhibit; just squint your eyes and pretend it’s abstract art. Guys who are really into cars tend to be very capable and good with their hands, even if they sometimes provide you with more information about your Jetta’s carburetor than you really need. You don’t have to exhibit any particular knowledge of cars, says a frequent visitor to such shows. “Just say ‘Hey, nice car!’ As long as you’re talking, that’s good enough,” he says.
Hey! There’s this guy I REALLY like, and I know he is attracted to me as well. The only problem is that he is also attracted to some other girl, and has hundreds of others clamoring to take our places. I need to be the center of his attention, but I don’t know how! Please help me!
“Social commentators tend to be extremists. They view the world as, one, men and women are identical, or two, we are different species. There is little sense of nuance,” says Elaine Hatfield now, looking back on why her findings produced such a strong response. “I think both men and women want love and sex. Some men pretend to be macho. But under the right conditions both men and women admit to being more complex than the stereotypes would have it.”
It doesn’t take a psychologist to know what men want. But give a whole lot of them a whole lot of time and you begin to understand the considerable nuance that governs what men want. Some people like pulp in their orange juice, after all.
A man of quality and intrigue can sense the inconsistent energy of a woman who is faking it. He will never trade his loaf of bread for her crumbs. He wants a partner who is on his level, and you must invest in yourself as he has done himself.
He feels the need to be around her, and his subconscious mind tries very hard to make her feel protected, comfortable and loved around him. He loses his aggressive stance, the tone of his voice softens down, and his shoulders droop down towards her instead of spreading wide. And before he even gives attraction a second thought, he’d realize that he likes the girl already! [Read: The right way to talk to a guy and make him like you]
More often than we know, some of our habits are encouraging his indifference rather than his interest. So, before we begin, first know that we all do certain things unconsciously. Sometimes our mannerisms and ways of being act against us. Consequently, you must ask yourself, “What is it that I might be doing unknowingly to keep men at bay?”
We have grown so accustomed to meeting others’ standards that we may not know what we want in a relationship. But in learning to love ourselves, we look for partners who will love us in return, and write off those who will bring negativity and judgment into our lives.
“Whether you’re in a committed relationship, or you’ve had little luck with men, this book will unravel your man-mystery and put you in control, which seems fair to me, no matter what my husband says.” (Giuliana Rancic, TV host, devoted wife)
3. Music Clubs. Next Saturday night take a bunch of your girlfriends to a nightclub that hosts local bands. You’ll find them right up on stage: clusters of men, pouring their hearts out, trying to impress you. But don’t get too seduced by musical talent. Tortured artists are dazzling on stage, but can be a drag in real life. On the other hand, a nice middle manager (during the day) indulging in some innocent rock-star fantasies (by night) could be just the ticket. The big drawback of music clubs, of course, is that the noise level can make it hard to hold a conversation. But if you say, “Hey, fantastic set!” he’ll hear you.

Then there was a lie about where he was during working hours. Now he tells he should be able to go where anywhere he want to go with tell me where he’s going when it’s for an occasion ie, to by a birthday gift or surprises. This makes no sense to me since it’s not the location of the gift that matters or that would let me know what he is going to purchase. I asked him after all these years we’ve always done things. I remember when you never wanted to go or try new things without me. We were best friends. This relationship was established and now the rules are changing according to him. I asked him is he cheating. Of course I knew he would say no. Why would he admit that? He said he is stress from work, which I could believe. I know the environment. But he is bad with time management and he knows it. He saids he needs time to heal. I ask from what? But he just can’t give me a complete answer. He won’t communicate for me to help him. He claims he’s a self healer, but stays late at work till 9:30-10p. When we talk it ends up into a messy conversation. He feels I want to know everything and won’t let it go. I feel he’s too secretive, can’t justify the spending and the need to go somewhere without letting your wife. He’s said he would not abuse that and I should trust him. I said it all about respect.
If a man views you as equal (e.g. being the same as him), then he will treat you like a man and you’ll probably get respect, but you probably won’t get much affection physically or emotionally. You must trust him enough to give up some of your power in the relationship where he is designed to excel. In return, you’ll get a man who will give up some of his own power and allow you to influence him in ways that will establish greater intimacy and closeness over time.
Many women treat men in ways that diminish their egos, making them feel inadequate. Men would rather have more praise, more acknowledgment of what they do right, and more acknowledgment that they are great guys who are loved and appreciated. Women think men do not need them, and do not value their opinion, their support, or their praise. Women also think men do not care about many things that are important to women, which is why they criticize. Criticism can be a way to verbalize resentment.
Realize differences in communication. Men can often miss the subtle messages that people send in their body language. Don’t judge a guy because of this; it’s just the way men are. Subtle body language like smiles only make a man think that you might like him; he can’t assume it means you’re interested without being accused of being a self-absorbed jerk. To drive the point home, gradually introduce more “obvious” body language like playful touches on the arm, playful banter and teasing, winks, inside jokes, playfulness, or (when you know him better) attempts to find a man’s ticklish spots. (Don’t be afraid to kindly tease him over minor things – people who pretend a man is perfect are regarded as weak in their eyes.) Flirting will not only show him you like him enough to get that physical and playful, but also help to break the physical barrier and allow a man to feel more comfortable making a few advances to you. But don’t forget to look at how he is reacting to you.
Well, with five brothers in your life, some of this stuff might seem “unique”….but it’s really quite universal—though less so nowadays. However, it’s all great fun! Here’s to our feminine side. Nice to have you stop by Jewels. (Great name)
Be mysterious. A huge part of attracting men is letting them figure you out. Don’t talk his ear off about every detail of your life or your feelings. Carefully think about what you say and don’t fill the conversation with idle gabbing. Also, don’t make yourself available all the time. Allow him to wonder where you are and what you’re doing.
Actually, a .220 batting average doesn’t seem all that good… But why would a woman want a man who is so easily manipulated (led around by his johnson) merely by a woman’s smile in the first place? Isn’t he just going to buzz off to the next flower which happens to smile at him, easy-come-easy-go fashion?
So there you have it – the 8 things every guy wants in a woman. If you’ve got any questions, or you disagree with anything I’ve written, go ahead and drop me a line in the comments! I love to talk about this stuff.
Guys don’t like fake women so try to remember that. What attracts men the most is a woman who doesn’t pretend to be something else, so that a guy would like her, but is herself. You don’t need to pretend you are anything you are not.
