Well, hello brake12. It’s true that some women are naturals. The good news is that good habits can be learned with enough commitment. It’s worth the extra effort–for sure!. Also, Aubrey, I thank you for pinning. I’m delighted that you enjoyed the hub.
I’m sorry to hear your boyfriend cheated on you. I hope it’s a one time thing, that he’s truly sorry, and it never happens again. Unfortunately, people who cheat often cheat again. Of course there are plenty of exceptions to that rule and I hope your boyfriend is one of them.
I have been known to “own my space” by plopping on the floor in the midst of hundreds of commuters, laptop in lap, typing away obliviously. Savvy, what say you to this? Sure way to never get a good guy, or excusable city dweller behavior ?

For busy professionals, it can also be beneficial to meet people along your daily routine. Learn to be social as you go about your day. Start a conversation with women as you ride the subway, get your morning coffee, walk into work, hit the gym, etc. Although it takes a bit of courage and practice, meeting people in this way almost always assures that you have some commonality to build on (they like to work out, they work or live on your block, they like coffee too, etc.). By “planning” to approach and make conversation with desirable partners, you are taking control of the process…and not relying on the luck of a chance encounter.
So if you’re trying to catch the attention of a typical guy *a large percentage of men have normal or high production of testosterone even though the overall average testosterone levels have dropped significantly in American men over the last 50 years*, chances are, he’d love you if your behavior is more feminine, cute and girly! I find that I am drawn to women that are creative and artistic; I tend to be a nuts and bolts kind of person, circuit boards and hard drives rule my day. Having a woman that can make sure I’m getting my appropriate dosages of culture is nice. Sometimes these women are easy to spot; there’s a place I go to called the Gypsy Den and I tell you, these creative female types are all over… Though, they kinda look like they walked out of some sort of hippy people loving commune…
Whatever you do, be natural. After all, you really do have to smooth that skirt or adjust the strap of your high heels. Now… can you picture him peering at you out of the corner of his eye, his eyebrow raised in awareness, curiosity… and desire? Of course you can. Now we’re getting somewhere. Whatever preening you do, don’t rush, and don’t look around to see who’s watching. Simply own your space, mind your own business, and smooth away. This is an excellent way to draw men toward you. You are creating anticipation “in the air” and causing him to be pulled toward you.
Being feminine is about being who you really are as a woman. This is a mixture of softness, strenght, maturity, gentleness, sex appeal and beauty (inner and outer). The stereotypes this article states are just contributing to bringing down women. You shouldn’t change who you are no matter what…even if it’s for attracting guys.
Significantly more men approached when the woman smiled (22% vs. 4%). According to Gueguen (2008), this is due to the fact that men are looking for a woman to show interest in them as a clear signal to approach. The women who make eye contact AND smile give such a clear signal. So, if you want a man to notice you and approach, make eye contact and smile!
You may think the root of this is about money, but it’s really linked to something much deeper. It’s about someone else’s limitations on what they think they cannot have—or do not deserve. It really is about how much you feel you are worth. It is about how much you feel you deserve.
I suggest that you should be pickier, less accepting and more committed to the “bad attitude” that will make you seek people who are extraordinary in the same way you are. Be courteous to men who don’t appeal to you, but for God’s sake, don’t waste your evenings—let alone your nights—with them. “Oh,” conventional rule-keepers might exclaim, “you’ll have to spend some nights alone!” Yes, indeed. Your pool of candidates is much smaller at the high-quality end of the bell curve, your chances of having no date on Saturday much larger if you refuse to go out with men who bore or repulse you. But if memory serves, the boredom and/or repulsion of bad dating is much worse than spending a few hours on your own.
Finding a partner often feels like an awful lot of work for very little reward. The relationship expert Matthew Hussey used to feel the same way. So he did some field research, taught himself to meet the women he was looking for, and built a business coaching other men to improve their love lives. And now he’s sharing his insights with you.
I am white. Before dating me, my man dated many Asian women. He is still friends with a few of them. I always felt a little frustrated by this. If he liked blondes, I could dye my hair. I cannot change my ethnic background!
This book doesn’t insult your intelligence, berate you for being a woman, tell you that you have to compromise your values, or leave with some sick feeling that manipulation of men & dishonesty with your own feelings/needs is the “secret”.
Rewrite your online dating profile from scratch; working with a blank page will get you thinking about what you really want. Then keep it updated, often—Casey, also Match.com’s relationships expert, says to keep it active, like your Facebook profile. “You change your résumé for every job—so you should be changing your online profile picture to show you on a recent ski trip, or talk about the newest movie you’ve seen. You need to be putting things out there that people will respond to, not just ‘Looking for someone with great eyes.'” And if you’ve yet to take the online dating plunge, c’mon, it’s 2013: The stigma is so 2008.
People are on prescription drugs too much, yes. And many people will get an infection of some sort stemming from sex, yes. Although the latter is blown out of proportion, as pretty much anyone who doesn’t live a traditional Mormon lifestyle is going to stumble upon a benign version of HPV, and many will get a general UTI. You can look at it through the “scare lens”, sure.
Hi Sam…So glad you liked the article. Flipping the hair, in conjunction with smiling and eye contact may indicate mild flirting. But hair flipping alone does not indicate interest. Some women are overly obsessed with appearance, and as such, may have developed the hair flipping thing as a nervous habit. Long story short, it depends upon the rest of her body language.
The paragraphs themselves have more compelling information, but those pink headings are odd and repetitive, and only address one aspect of how NOT to attract men, instead of how to attract them. Or are you just desperate to show us how annoying desperation is? This post is not as coherent as most of the others I’ve seen here so far.
Some women are completely unafraid to take control and others like to be dominated. The point is to find what you feel comfortable with and realize that some men will be extremely attracted to you and these particular aspects of your personality.
Femininity comes naturally to some girls *not just Asian girls*, but it’s an art that’s worth learning. If you want to know how to attract men, all you need to do is exude your feminine side while talking to them. And once you try that, you’ll know what I’m talking about. [Read: How to flirt with a guy without really flirting at all]
The reason I am saying to you this is because when you compare yourself, all you do is make yourself feel miserable and frustrated. The best thing to do is be your best self and focus on things you can control and improve upon. This will make you feel good.
The reason I had even looked up what women want from men is that I simply wanted to understand that! Thing is, I realized that in order to understand that, I needed to read something written by a woman.
Those are essentially your two choices though… Learn to see when your emotions are misleading you and use logic. OR, find someone who is both more suited to be a relationship partner and can trigger those emotions in you.
Insecure men do not like engaging with women who actually like themselves. In a way, this is a good thing—you won’t have to bother with such men because your self confidence will threaten him. Thus, he will fade away into the background, where he belongs. Therefore, it is worthwhile to do some self-tweaking and fine tuning by noticing our habits, whether bad or good, so that we can pare down our habits to those which only give impressions that always work in our favor. The vibes you give out are crucial if your are to pique the interest of a quality man.
Tip #3: The Vibrant Vibe. According to Adam, the law of attraction is that like attracts like. By this he means if you want to attract fun and exciting guys, you’ve got to be fun and exciting yourself. He says, “if you have the stink face’ look all night and appear miserable, guess who you’ll be attracting? You guessed it, the creepers.” Ugh, we all know the ones right? The ones who are all, “I bet I could make you smile, girl.” Ew. On the other hand, if you’re enjoying yourself, you’re more likely to attract great guys. According to Adam, “women who get approached by quality guys always have the vibe that projects I’m loving my night regardless!'” On a non-guy-related note, having fun is always superior to not having fun.
Guys don’t like fake women so try to remember that. What attracts men the most is a woman who doesn’t pretend to be something else, so that a guy would like her, but is herself. You don’t need to pretend you are anything you are not.
First off, the post is awesome and not because i’m in it! =) Seriously, great stuff and what an honor to be included by such an amazing collection of Male Bloggers that I share such great respect for.
Respect yourself. If you say no, he should stop. If he doesn’t stop, leave. Don’t ever be uncomfortable saying no. Don’t go against your morals to try to keep a guy. If you feel this is necessary, then either he’s not a good man, or he is a good one but simply isn’t a good match for you specifically (e. g. he is currently “playing the field” and is up front and honest about it, but you’re looking for an exclusive relationship). Don’t be uncomfortable saying yes, either. If you feel the time is right, believe in your worth and don’t worry that you’re “giving yourself away.” You respect yourself and you’re confident that he’ll come back for more! A man who doesn’t respect you in the morning never properly respected you to begin with, and a man who doesn’t respect your wishes to wait is too impatient to make a good partner. Either way, find someone else.
Be a woman with interesting things going on. Men love a woman who has her own life with fun and different things happening. No man wants a girl who is always sitting at home waiting for him or a woman who needs him to provide 100 percent of the fun.
Verely; what you did wrong telling this guy you liked him is you were too easy. You have to find a way to attract a man to you, by being friendly, flirtatious maybe, but you don’t just give yourself to him.
But the research did not stop there. What psychologists discovered is that underneath the simplicity, we men can be surprisingly complicated. We want women, yes, and we want sex. But we don’t always want a slender frame and sharp curves. Sometimes we want a good personality. And a good romantic comedy. And to cuddle. This is laboratory science talking—not Hallmark or four martinis.

There is a significant difference between “like being spoiled” and “feel entitled to being spoiled”. I like being spoiled, too, but I would NEVER expect it. It isn’t fair to men to expect them to pay for everything while YOU determine suitability; they are also determining suitability. Even if you say how much you appreciate them, words are cheap and need action to back them up. There is nothing wrong with either going dutch or taking turns paying right up front, and there is no reason to dump that expense on the man. I always offer to split the bill. I’ve never had a man take me up on that, but I do offer, and I have the money with me to back it up if they ever do accept.
Be the woman all his friends are lusting after and who lights up the room with your smile. It’s a fact; if all of his friends are “ooohing and ahhing” over you, he will be attracted to you all the more.
Listen to the way he talks to you, also his body communication. Try to find things in common to keep a conversation going. Men always love a girl or guy who could just be themself around him, and in public.
