If you want to attract anyone – wear red or pink, be confident and believe in the beauty that is you inside and out and think positive and smile. It’s that simple. Games only last so long. Go to places you normally would not go and take routes on the way home you would not normally take. Get out of a routine. Be brave, be fearless, don’t be afraid to try. You will have fun and discover more about yourself than you realize.
Don’t be afraid to make a move. Let’s be real: a good man doesn’t desperately need any person; he would like to meet a good person. If he’s a good man, he will appreciate the compliment to his attractiveness, at the very least. But remember that compliments are usually given to acquaintances – people who are intimate usually have a more honest connection, with playful teasing and banter. Think of good relationships between brothers and sisters, parents and children, especially couples – they’re always joking, laughing, teasing, flirting in a positive way. A woman who is always complimenting may simply be boring and look desperate. Even if you are old-fashioned and never want to be the woman who asks a man for a date, you can still go out of your way to talk to him, and arrange to be with him. Don’t overdo this, however; unless he is already attracted to you before the encounter, the more obvious it is that you’ve put a ton of time into the encounter without his direct encouragement, the more desperate and less attractive you look. Work on building attraction first.
I’ve been absolutely blessed to have been watching Rachael Ray when Matt was a guest on the show. I signed up for emails the same hour his segment finished airing. Though I never signed up for the thorough and elaborate step by step process, I’ve learned quite a bit about myself as well as how others and men perceive me. After leaving my husband of 6 years (not long but long enough), I had men asking me out one after the other. Six guys in a four week period wanted to date ME! ME, of all people. I declined five out of the six because I didn’t NEED a man, nor every date possible. The only one I didn’t decline is such a wonderful, caring, and handsome 😉 man that values me. For once, I’ve found someone that brings as much to the table as I do. I was a very clingy, disgustingly desperate feeling woman in the beginning, but I’ve discovered that I AM VALUABLE just as I am. I’m a slightly heavy woman, not obese, but curvy, and I’m with the most fit, trim, gorgeous, kindhearted, and romantic man I’ve ever met. He’s nearly straight from a romance novel. If I hadn’t found you, Matt, I’m sure I would still be the same lonely and needy woman that I once was. Thank you for everything.
If you put effort towards those areas of your life, you will become the best and most attractive version of yourself that you can be – and that’s what the men who will be attracted to you really care about the most.
Guys don’t like fake women so try to remember that. What attracts men the most is a woman who doesn’t pretend to be something else, so that a guy would like her, but is herself. You don’t need to pretend you are anything you are not.
Bottom line, don’t fight biology. All my best girlfriends were very shy and feminine. I’ve tried to get shit going with feminist career girls, I don’t really fall in love with them though. I’d like to love a strong woman, and have a son run for president, but meh…
Imperfections: Have to stress the point again, because we are so much obsessed with the cover girls that we forget being organic is being sexy. Almost every guy agrees too much makeup is a turn-off. They want to see some natural beauty in you. The mole is absolutely okay, so is the buck teeth. They tend to associate you with your marks and scars, and it makes you uniquely attractive to them and distinguish you from rest of the crowd.
Men want no manipulation of any kind. They do not want to have to read their partner’s mind or try to interpret signals. They do not want to be forced to move faster in a relationship than they are ready. They do not want to be manipulated into taking all the blame for things gone wrong. They do not want to be on the receiving end of game playing. Women think men want little or no communication, and the only way to get needs met is through manipulation. Women think men either need or want to be reminded that the relationship needs to move forward. Women think men don’t want or value praise and acknowledgment, and so tend to only verbalize criticism.
Men love a woman who is a good girl when she’s around other people, but who has a bit of a naughty, bad girl side when she’s alone with him. This might include talking dirty through text messages or learning how to please your man in a way no woman ever has.
Respect means accepting he needs certain things, even if they are in opposition to what you want or need. For example, when men get stressed or feel unbalanced, they usually like to retreat into their “cave” to sort things out. They don’t necessarily like talking through the problem and would rather work it out on their own and then come back into the relationship re-charged.

Now, I know what many of you might be thinking: “That’s bullsh*t. I know plenty of men that have fallen for me because of my wit, charm, and intelligence.” Absolutely, but I’m sure he was initially struck to walk over to you because of his primal reaction to your physical presence.
Anyway, the most important factor to keep in mind when we wish to attract a man is to create an “aura of intrigue” in a such a way that it leaves a positive and subtle impression on the observer. In other words, you never want to be too obvious or seem as if you are desperate for attention. Subtlety is the key.
A man likes beauty he can feel not see. A beautiful woman who is insecure about her looks is a big turn off for any man. If a woman is confident about the way she looks, she will stay stunning in her man’s eyes no matter how much she ages.
If you want to get a guy, then you need to give him a clear invitation. I know he seems big, burly, and scary. But, he is actually looking to you for a “green light” to come over and say hello. Some eye contact and a smile will do that. So, if you want him to approach, lock eyes and give him a grin.
“There’s an interesting and complex relationship between how committed a man is and how actively he’ll try to avoid tempting sexual alternatives,” says Maner. “As one example: Men sometimes automatically avert their gaze from tempting alternatives, and they do so without even having to think about it.” Maybe that indifference some men show in the presence of attractive women on New York City sidewalks isn’t affected at all. Maybe it’s affection remembered.

Thank you, gk. I think it is good to remain attractive for our husbands and ourselves, for that matter. Men enjoy our femininity. Too many women overlook that, which is why I tried to be specific in sharing some tips. I’m so glad you stopped by to comment. I’ve no doubt your marriage will survive the test of time, and I appreciate your mentioning that it was your confidence that drew him to you and kept him interested..
The paragraphs themselves have more compelling information, but those pink headings are odd and repetitive, and only address one aspect of how NOT to attract men, instead of how to attract them. Or are you just desperate to show us how annoying desperation is? This post is not as coherent as most of the others I’ve seen here so far.
If you want to get a gal, then you need to be a bit more secure and social. Women generally like lovers who are confident. That means they notice someone who makes eye contact, walks around, takes up space, and is playful and physical. So, if you want her to notice you, brush up on your body language. Practice eye contact, relax your posture, and have fun with friends. Then, you will see a lot more women looking (and smiling) back!
The study seemed to confirm every stereotype anyone ever held about what men want (for the purposes of this article, what heterosexual men want). We want women. Now, please—although tonight will do. At worst tomorrow. We want them like that old Army poster with the finger pointing outward. We want you. We want you like we’re all Uncle Sam, and dammit if the Germans aren’t at it again. Pack up the lab equipment, please, shut off the lights, and move on to more important behavioral studies. Like finding out who drinks “lots of pulp” Tropicana.
I have been crazy about this older guy that I work with for years.First as a subordinate, now as a colleague. We have finally had an intimate moment that he called “something significant” however, we have not had sex. Problem is, I’ve been flirting, listening and being supportive as a friend but inside I’m going crazy with wanting him. He has recently broken up with a girlfriend and I know he is not ready for another relationship…last thing I want is to be the rebound girl. He has admitted that he is physically attracted to me and we have spoken about being lovers…only problem is, I don’t just want him in my bed, I want to be in his heart as well. I feel like I’m deceiving him because I told him I’m okay with just being lovers and that I will not expect any more than that. But he holds my heart already and I am dying not being able to show him how I really feel about him. As much as I want him physically, I want him to love me back as much as I love him. This is such a mess because I know that if I was to say no to being intimate with him now, I am making a liar of myself. Any advise?
Don’t change anything. You’re now in the honeymoon period, where you have some time to get used to each other. This is the time that you do the cute things of the relationship. Come up with a song together that you can label as “Our song.” Some great ones can be “I could not ask for more” by Edwin McCain, “Something Coming Over”, by O.A.R., “Breathing”, by Lifehouse, “Amazed”, by Lonestar. These are only examples, you can choose yourself, this is just a guide for what you should look for. Also, if you have a band you both mutually are really into, try to choose a song by that band. Make sure to read the lyrics and understand the song before you pick though. Some songs can be deceiving with their meanings.
The solution – looking for a good partner, not a perfect one. There are simply better and worse partners out there. Some are more fit for a relationship than others. There is not, however, a “perfect and unique fit” for each of us. The best that can be hoped for is finding a reasonably-compatible person, who will be willing to cooperate, and working with them to create a mutually-satisfying exchange. Yes, this is far less romantic…but it works!
I also don’t follow what you mean by ‘seeking a partner of equal value’. The fact that most women value men who are violent, abusive, and dysfunctional thugs—or weak, effeminate metrosexual types—illustrates how little most of them value masculinity at all.
Perfume is actually something that a lot of women over do. Most men do not like very strong perfume. You’re better off sticking with something very light and being very conservative with how much you spray.
Trust builds slowly over time. Once that trust is broken (especially when you get cheated on) it takes even longer to rebuild. Nothing will solve the situation short term. It’s going to take time for you to trust again.
