A few years ago, Swami and an international group of psychologists led by Martin Tovée of Newcastle University surveyed the female body preferences of men (and women) in the United Kingdom and among the Zulu of South Africa. Participants flipped through a photo booklet of real but blurry-faced women wearing tight gray leotards and rated each one. The Britons gave high marks to slender curves, while the Zulu enjoyed heavier bodies. Then Zulu migrants living in Britain had their turn with the booklets—and chose bodies right in between.

They want a woman who answers questions honestly, and perhaps even volunteers information. They want a woman who confidently asks for her wants and needs to be met. They want a woman who can see the truth and tell it like it is while communicating with kindness. Men want a woman who can communicate without being too critical, and who cares about preserving his and her dignity. Women think men want them to be superficial, to keep quiet about their needs or wants, and never to ask for anything. Women think men believe them to be too needy and too sensitive, and that men simply want women to get over it. Some women believe they do not have the permission to tell it like it is, that they will be rejected for speaking up.
Since the advent of eHarmony, OKCupid, and other dating services, more and more people are taking the plunge and creating an online dating profile. However, not all profiles are created equal–some companies and individuals use them to promote themselves and get ahead in some way. We gathered our best tips for spotting a fake from the start.
But cute changes everything. When a girl behaves in a cute and feminine manner, it brings out the protective instincts of a man. Instead of feeling threatened by a feminine girl, he feels protective about her. That makes him feel more masculine, and that’s something every guy loves to feel! While a girl’s physical appearance is the biggest sign of femininity, at times, it helps if you can display more femininity in your behavior. No, I’m not saying pink frills and scented paper. But there are always other ways to appear cuter and get a guy to take a second and third look at you. [Read: 10 ways to get a guy to notice you and fall for you without even talking to him]
Men want to be with a woman who needs them on more than just a superficial level. A man wants to feel like he’s your hero and your protector. If he feels he offers nothing to the relationship that you couldn’t have on your own, then he will leave.
It’s because it’s a difficult process if your social circle is really thin. A guy has to face rejection. He has to get comfortable with it. When a guy is 100% comfortable, and has no hesitation about the concept of rejection — he has no problem with the singles/dating scene. Of course, getting to that point is not easy.
Men are starved for appreciation. No man is going to come right out and say it, so you’re really going to have to take my word for it. In relationships, women mostly want to feel loved and understood. What men want most is to be appreciated and respected. Rather than focusing on what your man isn’t doing, try to hone in on the good things he is doing (there have to be some).
Therefore, men want to be successful in everything they do. It’s the reason they’re competitive at sports. It’s the reason they work long hours, sometimes at the expense of time with the family. It’s the reason they want to be your protector, provider, and the best lover you’ve ever had.
When a guy sees a girl’s physical assets, he subconsciously sees more than just your breasts or your butt. The right curves in all the right places tells a guy that a girl is fertile and has come of age, and that she’s healthy because her body can afford to waste energy on developing her curves which play the biggest role in sexual attraction.
Response: I don’t think that a lot of people don’t like appreciation, although, to much appreciation can make someone who feels selfless kinda guilty. All the other points made in the section are very true! A man (if he isn’t a sex-driven neanderthal who doesn’t have the mental capacity to take into account that his partner matters) will be satisfied in benefiting his partner, I mean, come on, a relationship is meant for the individuals in it to benefit each other. When a woman obnoxiously orders their partner to the point of which the stress applied surpasses what you can imagine to be a terrible minimum wage job in which not even a trace of vigor is left in you at the end of your shift, then most men are going to get pretty irritated, and vice versa. This doesn’t mean you can’t ask your partner to do too many things for you obviously, just make sure that he feels like he is benefiting you! Oh what, you thought I was going to say that you should make sure he gets something in return? Haha, funny, but contrary to what you may assume, the solution is not always that. Relationships that rely on unconditional love are the ones that do not wilt away. This means that both individuals should be satisfied by each other’s satisfaction alone.
Don’t be clingy. This means, don’t show that you love this person by being near them all the time. They need their space and they need to know that you don’t need to follow them everywhere they go. Most of all, they need to know that you have your own life.
The predator model of love leads to a hunter’s way of dating: Seek large gatherings of your prey, dangle a false self as bait, wait for an individual to stray from the herd, then pounce on him with all the wit and wile it takes to bring him down. Internet matchmaking services, singles bars, speed dating, personal ads and even blind dating all borrow from this “statistical mass” logic. I’ve seen clients spend years dating this way, entering one briefly exciting, painfully doomed relationship after another. This is not a numbers game. It’s a soul search.
Again, dating is a process. Yes…it is also emotional. But, beyond the feelings, you are also “picking” a compatible person, who will work with you as a partner, for mutual satisfaction. Therefore, dating does become something of a job interview…
“We haven’t done a good job giving men an emotional language, culturally speaking, to say ‘hooking up doesn’t work,'” says Plante. “To say, ‘I actually like to know my partner. I like to be in a relationship with her. I like to be connected to her. That’s what turns me on, more so than that she’s attractive.'”
Great tips! I have come across many articles that have give all kinds of advices, but none that talk about the aura and owning our space.. these are critical in attracting the right kind of people. You have described everything very clearly and precisely, loved reading your hub! 🙂
Those are essentially your two choices though… Learn to see when your emotions are misleading you and use logic. OR, find someone who is both more suited to be a relationship partner and can trigger those emotions in you.
Either the guy is just interested in having sex with men and no emotional strings attached, or the guy is indeed gay but still in denial. Guys are often into guys but scared of family and friends so they find themselves settling for just sexual pleasure and nothing more. That being said, if he says he’s not gay, take him at his word. It’s up to each individual to choose how they identify.

Women who are clear about how they feel: Men like women that display behavior that is equivalent to how they feel. Ex: If you’re angry about something, tell them the reason, they will do what they can to fix it. Do not act passive aggressive and hope that they find out the reason.
The solution – figuring out what is desired and where to get it. Create a rough “job description” for a good partner. Figure out where that type of person can be found. Look for those characteristics and test people on them. Continue to enjoy dating – but don’t forget the end goal either!
Plz sombody hlp. I want to do sex wid my bf but he isnt interested as he has so many tension in his mind, and he always telling me dat we wil do sex but not befoe our marriage but i need him now.. He doznt undrstand my feelings..plz give sum suggestion so dat i can attracted him towards me plz 🙁
Treat him with respect. This is the most important thing of all. Men hate being around someone who emasculates them, and a good man won’t take long to leave such a person. Don’t be afraid to help your man feel good about himself. A little known secret is that men are just as insecure as women. If he’s with his friends or family be open to opportunities to let your man look like “the man”. It will win his love and respect.
