This is difficult though… So, you can always give your male friend my website too. There are many tips in my archives and many more to come, which can help him make you feel passion for him. Therefore, you can feel passion for the more local choice and win all the way around.
It amazes me to hear women go down a list of the treatment they expect, places they want to wine and dine, trips they want to go on and pampering they want to receive. Yet they skimp and don’t invest in doing these things for themselves. Boggles the mind!
It doesn’t take a psychologist to know what men want. But give a whole lot of them a whole lot of time and you begin to understand the considerable nuance that governs what men want. Some people like pulp in their orange juice, after all.
He also needs to be accountable for what he’s done and understand it’s not going to be easy to trust him for a while…maybe a long while. If he truly loves you and is truly sorry for what he’s done, he will understand that and will do what he can to help make the situation better.
Day after day, as I hear single women bemoan the lack of available men, I wish ethics allowed me to set them up with my wonderful male clients who are searching, with equal frustration, for the right woman. Instead, I end up simply witnessing singles of both sexes failing to find each other. I believe this failure has much to do with the model of love-seeking most popular in our culture: the idea of romantic pursuit as a type of predation, a hunting expedition the goal of which is capture. In my experience, the way of thinking that leads to successful relationships is altogether different. It’s focused on the idea that the way to find love is to become so much yourself that you find others of your own kind, with whom you can share freedom.
When I hear you saying that he complains you have changed, it makes me feel like he’s not truly sorry and that he just wants you to “get over it” overnight and be like you were before. And he doesn’t want to be held accountable for what he’s done.
I would also suggest developing an additional “social” personal hobby. Depending on your current interests, perhaps there are some aspects of your hobbies now that could be more social (e.g. interest groups, meet-ups, conventions, etc.). That can be a good way to practice being more social and expand your friendship network. Perhaps you will find love that way. Or perhaps, you will make a good friend who will introduce you to his sister, cousin, girlfriend’s friend, etc. Networking works just as well in love as it does in business. A good referral goes a long way too 🙂
At best, all one can realistically expect is for a guy to be OK with rejection and to let it roll off his back. As long as he doesn’t get pile-driven by rejection-after-rejection of gals not out of his league, he’ll be fine.
Then there was a lie about where he was during working hours. Now he tells he should be able to go where anywhere he want to go with tell me where he’s going when it’s for an occasion ie, to by a birthday gift or surprises. This makes no sense to me since it’s not the location of the gift that matters or that would let me know what he is going to purchase. I asked him after all these years we’ve always done things. I remember when you never wanted to go or try new things without me. We were best friends. This relationship was established and now the rules are changing according to him. I asked him is he cheating. Of course I knew he would say no. Why would he admit that? He said he is stress from work, which I could believe. I know the environment. But he is bad with time management and he knows it. He saids he needs time to heal. I ask from what? But he just can’t give me a complete answer. He won’t communicate for me to help him. He claims he’s a self healer, but stays late at work till 9:30-10p. When we talk it ends up into a messy conversation. He feels I want to know everything and won’t let it go. I feel he’s too secretive, can’t justify the spending and the need to go somewhere without letting your wife. He’s said he would not abuse that and I should trust him. I said it all about respect.
And no testosterone laden guy can resist the allure of a sweet Asian girl when he’s having a conversation with her. Everything about them makes them appear more beautiful and feminine, right from their cute heart signs with inverted hands, the way they nod their heads, the way they behave while having a conversation with you to the way they smile coyly and yet so warmly.
One “striking” finding, to borrow the report’s own word, was a very strong connection between a man’s relationship satisfaction and his frequency of physical intimacy. Not physical intimacy as in sex, but physical intimacy as in kissing, cuddling, and general, not necessarily sexual, caressing. The odds of a man being happy in his relationship increased by a factor of three if he snuggled up regularly.
While some of your previous relationships may have proven otherwise, the truth is men are natural givers. Yes, that’s right. They want to give, they want to provide, and they want to make you happy. What they don’t want is to be bossed around and told what to do.
That would mean that you are trying to get him to like the fake you, not the real you. If so, you can’t blame him for being confused later on, once you take the ‘mask’ off. So here is a little tip from us. Right off the bat, try to be yourself and show him what kind of person you are. It will save you both the time and hassle if you don’t like each other. It’s not just about the time, but it’s fair. We’re not suggesting you don’t take a shower for two days, and don’t do your hair, no. Keep it together, but don’t over do it. There is no need to act like a diva in front of a guy and pretend you are crazy about baseball if you’re actually not that kind of a girl. If you do, next thing you know: he’s taking you to weekly baseball games, and you’re not happy.
As a general rule of thumb, if your walk has become a waddle, you’ve gone too far. If you have no other problems and yet walking or standing hurts your joints or back, you may be too fat to be attractive to most men (and nobody is saying you have to be).
BTW true feminists should be willing to fight for men’s equality as well, and hopefully not criticize them for not fighting for yours. We beat men up emotionally more in this culture than ever before and then tell them they aren’t /can’t be man enough for us.
Many women treat men in ways that diminish their egos, making them feel inadequate. Men would rather have more praise, more acknowledgment of what they do right, and more acknowledgment that they are great guys who are loved and appreciated. Women think men do not need them, and do not value their opinion, their support, or their praise. Women also think men do not care about many things that are important to women, which is why they criticize. Criticism can be a way to verbalize resentment.
The truth is, you DON’T need a man in your life to be happy. As a strong, independent, confident woman you can stand on your own two feet and get through life just fine. But you shouldn’t let a man know that if you want to keep a guy interested.
Finally, always look polished. Wear that bright nail polish on your toes – maybe a luminous hot pink, a blazing orange, or a bright torquoise. Put on those beautiful bracelets that give off a pleasant sound when you gesture with your hands. I’m serious… men ache for these little touches of femininity.
It’s easy to push a thought away and assume it’s wrong to be feminine or assume it’s a bad thing to change. But trust me, change is good. And change is inevitable. So you’re going to change whether you like it or not. And you have a choice to become a better you, or a worse you. [Read: 10 ways to achieve perfection in every step you take]

Femininity comes naturally to some girls *not just Asian girls*, but it’s an art that’s worth learning. A specific and very useful example of owning your own space is when you choose to dine alone. Many women will not do this, but what better way to make yourself available to an interesting admirer than for you to enjoy a perfectly comfortable, leisurely lunch alone. I saw a man do this once when I was dining with my brother and other family members. Both my brother and I, who were teenagers at the time, were awestruck by this this unique man who dined as if he had all the time in the world. He was a master at owning his space. He wasn’t checking his watch or devouring a novel. He was eating, slowly. He savored his wine and then sat back to better appreciate the quiet hubbub of the servers and guests on the patio; He was incredibly relaxed. Somehow, he was impressive and charming at the same time. I have never forgotten the impact this stranger made upon me. I was just out of high school, but this stranger changed me forever.
The original movie starred Mel Gibson as a marketing exec who suddenly has the ability to hear what women are thinking after a freak accident. In the remake, the roles are reversed, with Henson playing sports agent who has been constantly boxed out by her male colleagues. When she gains the power to hear men’s thoughts, she is able to shift the paradigm to her advantage as she races to sign the NBA’s next superstar.
It is still possible to make eye contact with women, without male friends. It is also possible to take up space, act in a relaxed manner, and have fun – even if you are alone. All of those things will still attract female attention.
If you take a look around, you’ll often discover men don’t marry “perfect” women. That’s because looks alone aren’t enough to make a guy fall in love with you. However, they can be important because your physical appearance is the first thing a guy will notice about you.
If you were wondering what attracts men to women, it’s actually quite easy, and once you master it, you’ll have no trouble. Whether he’s a shy guy, the outgoing socialite or the Harvard intellectual the same rule applies for every single one, so arm yourself with what we are about to tell you, and with the new gained knowledge you’ll be living happily ever after.
Tip #1: Show them pearly whites. Adam’s first tip is a simple and easy one–smile at the guy you’re hoping will approach you. He say, “Men are total wusses when it comes to approaching women. If they don’t feel confident that you want them to come over, then they’ll almost never make the move.” Evidently, male clients are always asking how to be sure that a woman actually wants them to come over, and Adam advises that a smile gives them “a solid 80% chance” since “there is no 100% certainty when it comes to dating”. If you take the tiny little initiative to smile his way, it will encourage him to make a move.
